This "Smart" TV is 36 inches wide, but 40 inches diagonal. It was released in 2013 so all the software is a bit old and will no longer update. There are some apps that you can watch, like YouTube, but that is still dependent upon the software's ability to comprehend the newer signals coming through. Also, the remote control is old and doesn't work well. - So, instead of fighting with that, besides using the TV as a computer monitor or gaming monitor, you can attach a Roku or Amazon firestick for a very up-to-date TV.
