Up for sale is a used 2010 Towtem Rotating Grapple, built in the USA and designed for serious work. This is a heavy-duty rotating grapple currently set up with mounts for Kubota U55 / U48 and KX040 / KX057 machines. It is rated for 10,000–12,500 lb excavators, and the mount can be changed to fit other makes or models.
I purchased this grapple in June 2025 for a large boulder wall project. Before going into service, it was professionally inspected and refreshed by Lano Equipment in Minnesota, including:
All new hydraulic hoses
New tooth pins
New mount installed
This grapple has been fully gone through and was ready to work when put on the machine.
I do not own an excavator large enough to run it, so it was used on a rented Kubota U48 . With that setup, it stacked approximately 700 tons of limestone boulders, ranging from 250 lbs up to 4,000 lbs in 3 months. This grapple is an absolute beast and performed flawlessly throughout the project.
Selling simply because the project is complete and I don’t need a large attachment sitting around, with no major wall projects planned in the near future.
Important:
This attachment requires a machine with TWO auxiliary hydraulic lines — one for open/close and one for rotation. It will NOT work with single auxiliary hydraulic line.
