I'm reaching out because my little family is looking for someone willing to give us a chance at a fresh start.
About a year ago, I had a major health crisis - both physical and mental - that caused me to lose my business and eventually our housing. Since then, my partner, our 1-year-old son, and I have been living in a camper, working every day to get back on our feet. It's been the hardest year of my life, but we've never stopped fighting to rebuild.
This week, everything is finally turning around. I was just offered an amazing, well-paying job helping other people overcome barriers to employment and connect with community resources. It feels like the perfect fit because I've lived those barriers myself. I start Monday (11/17) (tomorrow is actually my 33rd birthday too - talk about a fresh start!).
We also have two older kiddos who have been staying with family because I haven't had stable housing to bring them home. Getting into an apartment means I can start working toward getting them back with us. That's my biggest motivation - bringing my family back together.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
2-bedroom apartment or house in Rogers/Bentonville/Springdale area (but not picky, anywhere in NWA works!)
$700-850/month
Pet-friendly (we have adult, well-behaved, vaccinated dogs and a cat who've been with us through everything - they're family)
Available late November or early December
Prefer month-to-month or flexible lease, but we're open to longer terms!
WHAT WE CAN OFFER:
First month's rent + deposit paid in full upfront (I'm expecting funds this week from residuals from my business and school)
A family who will treat your property with respect
Quiet, responsible tenants who just want a stable home
Someone who understands what it means to be given a second chance
Long-term reliability - we're not looking to move around, we're looking to rebuild our lives
BEING HONEST:
I have an eviction on my record from when everything fell apart. I won't have pay stubs yet since I just started working, but I can provide an offer letter from my employer. My rental reference is from 2023 before things went sideways - I can provide that contact info.
I know my situation isn't ideal on paper. I know most landlords would pass us by. But I'm asking you to see beyond the paperwork and see a mom who's fought like hell to get back to this point. A family who just needs someone to believe in us.
My partner handles our son's daycare drop-offs and pick-ups so I can focus on work until we can afford longer childcare (he's in free daycare from 7:45am to 2:45pm). We're quiet people who keep to ourselves. We just want a safe place to come home to at the end of the day. A place where our toddler can play. A place that feels like home again.
OUR PETS:
They're house-trained, friendly, and up to date on shots. They've been through this whole journey with us and we can't imagine giving them up. Happy to pay a pet deposit, though one is an ESA.
If you're a landlord who believes in second chances, who sees potential instead of just problems, please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions, meet in person, or do whatever you need to feel comfortable renting to us.
We're not looking for charity. We're looking for an opportunity to prove ourselves. And I promise you won't regret giving us that chance.
Thank you for reading our story. It means more than you know.

Or respond in an email to this posting. Please be able to prove you're a real landlord. I can't afford to get scammed.
P.S. - I can move quickly once approved. I'm ready to turn the page and start this next chapter.
